I have decided I really want to start going to comic conventions to help promote myself and my comic. I’m sure I have little to no idea what that means or all the steps to do that, but I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines doing just a regular thing. I follow all kinds of fascinating, talented people who are at conventions doing all kinds of awesome things, and I think it's about time I try doing that myself!
Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me this far, and thank you for the support you continue to give! I love comics and cartoons, and I love sharing what I create with all of you! I can't wait to meet new faces and hopefully meet up with some of you in real life who have been around for awhile! If anyone has a convention they are planning to go to, let me know, so we can try and meet up!
I plan at first to try selling some prints of my rubberhose character designs. Also I hope to get a table in various Artist Alleys to help meet new people. It's all a lot of new things to learn how to do, but I'm sure I can figure it out!
I should have done this sooner, but 'an artist is their own worst critic' and all that... Which basically means I was scared, and I still am, but I really want to do this, so I'm just going to take that leap and do it! I want to especially thank my wife Brittiney Hunter for supporting me in this decision. And again I want to thank everyone for all their support, likes, re-tweets, favs, shares and all-around kind words that helped build up the confidence in this humble little comic geek.
- any continued shares are much appreciated
It's a hard market out there and I couldn't do it without the support!
Finally I need to add a very special thanks to my best friend Jody Mauter, (who refuses to get into social media). He has been my silent partner in all of my comics from the beginning (Sky Riders for anyone that remembers high school). He helps me spitball ideas and proofreads all my stuff before I share it to the world. (I’m sure he’ll proofread this too. lol) Thank you soooo much Bro, I truly couldn’t do it without you!... Well I could, but it wouldn’t be as good.
Now in closing I want to add, STAY SILLY everyone!
