You have definitely captured the style of silent 'toons! Nicely done!
I would suggest using straight motion-lines next time. There's no reason for the gravel to fall in any direction but down, and the curving lines made me think flowers were coming out of the ceiling! But that's just me trying to be helpful. I think you really did a splendid job with this!
